Front: Arabian oryx (Oryx leucoryx), the national animal of Oman, shown prominently at center alongside a Sooty falcon (Falco concolor). The Arabian oryx was extinct in the wild by 1972 but successfully reintroduced through captive breeding programs, making it a symbol of conservation success and Omani environmental heritage. Traditional Omani fort and dhow imagery appear in the background, representing the country's maritime trading history and architectural legacy. Arabian gazelles are depicted in the landscape.

Back: Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876–1948), founder and first Governor-General of Pakistan, wearing formal Western attire with traditional karakul cap. Jinnah led the All-India Muslim League and the Pakistan Movement, achieving the creation of Pakistan as an independent nation in 1947. His portrait appears with the State Bank of Pakistan emblem and Urdu script identifying the issuing authority.

The story

Background & history

CRITICAL MISMATCH IDENTIFIED: The front depicts an Omani 100 Baisa note from the Central Bank of Oman (Fifth issue, 1995), while the back shows a Pakistani 10 Rupees note featuring Muhammad Ali Jinnah, issued by the State Bank of Pakistan. These are NOT the front and back of the same banknote. The Omani 100 Baisa note (P-32) from the 1995 series was part of a redesign emphasizing Omani wildlife and cultural heritage. The actual reverse of P-32 features Nizwa Fort and traditional Omani architecture. The Pakistani note shown is from a different country, currency, and denomination entirely. The serial number 'HAK8643291' visible on the Pakistan note cannot correspond to the Omani note serial '1416 H/1995 G' visible on the front. The date notation '1416 H' refers to the Islamic calendar year 1416 AH (approximately 1995–1996 CE), consistent with the 1995 issue year.
