What's on the note
Front: Puma Moriche (Puma concolor), a large wild cat native to the Americas and Venezuela's fauna. The puma is depicted in purple ink at center, representing Venezuela's biodiversity and natural heritage. This denomination is part of the fauna-themed Bolívar Fuerte series that replaced the hyperinflation-ravaged Bolívar at 1000:1 in 2007. The Venezuelan coat of arms appears at left, and 'Casa de la Moneda de la República de Venezuela' is printed in fine text.
Back: Giant Armadillo (Priodontes maximus), the largest living armadillo species found in South America including Venezuela's llanos and forests. This endangered species is depicted in purple at center, highlighting conservation themes. The denomination '100' appears prominently, showing the dual-denomination printing error common in Venezuelan emergency currency during this period. Serial number F57284077 is printed at top left and bottom right.

Background & history
This note belongs to the Bolívar Fuerte (Strong Bolívar) series introduced on January 1, 2007, when Venezuela redenominated its currency by removing three zeros (1000 old bolívares = 1 bolívar fuerte). The series was issued 2007–2018 and featured Venezuelan fauna rather than historical figures. However, this particular note shows a printing error where '100' appears on the reverse instead of '50', creating a denomination mismatch—a documented phenomenon from this troubled currency period. The Bolívar Fuerte itself was replaced by the Bolívar Soberano in August 2018 following continued hyperinflation, with another redenomination at 100,000:1. The wildlife theme reflected President Chávez's emphasis on national identity and natural resources. Printed by Casa de la Moneda de la República de Venezuela (Venezuelan Mint).
