Where & when
What's on the note
Front: This image shows a 1 Guaraní note from the República del Paraguay featuring the Palacio Legislativo (Legislative Palace) in Asunción. The palace, constructed in the early 20th century, serves as the seat of Paraguay's National Congress. The note is printed by Thomas de la Rue & Company, Limited, as indicated at the bottom of the note. The design features ornate green guilloche patterns framing the denomination '1' in each corner, with the central vignette showing the neoclassical facade of the Legislative Palace with its colonnade and pediment.
Back: This image shows a 10 Nuevos Soles note from Peru issued by the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, dated 10 de Setiembre de 1992. The note features José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzales (1914–1941), a Peruvian military aviator and national hero who died during the Ecuadorian–Peruvian War of 1941 when he deliberately crashed his damaged aircraft into an Ecuadorian position rather than abandon his mission. He was posthumously promoted to Captain and is regarded as Peru's greatest aviation hero. The reverse shows an aircraft and military scene commemorating his sacrifice. The serial number visible is A7241226F.

Background & history
These two images appear to be from completely different banknotes: the front shows a Paraguayan 1 Guaraní note (likely from the 1950s–1960s era based on the Thomas de la Rue printing and design style), while the back shows a Peruvian 10 Nuevos Soles note from 1992. The Paraguayan Guaraní has been the currency of Paraguay since 1944, replacing the peso at 100 pesos = 1 guaraní. The Peruvian Nuevo Sol was introduced in 1991 to replace the Inti (which itself had replaced the Sol de Oro during hyperinflation), at a rate of 1,000,000 intis = 1 nuevo sol. The 1992 Peruvian note is part of the first series of Nuevos Soles notes. These images do not represent the front and back of the same banknote.
