Front: King Taksin the Great (1734–1782) on horseback, the warrior king who liberated Siam from Burmese occupation in 1767 and established Thonburi as the new capital. The series was printed by Thomas De La Rue and featured King Taksin the Great on the 10 baht denomination, honoring his role in restoring Thai independence. The reverse consistently depicted King Bhumibol across all denominations of this series. The note bears serial number 2D9178611 / ๒ ก ๕๒๘๕๖๖, with Thai numeral serial ๒ ก ๕๒๘๕๖๖ on the back. Governor Puey Ungphakorn served as Governor of the Bank of Thailand from 1959 to 1971, which helps date this note to approximately 1969–1971. The 9th Series was replaced by the 10th Series beginning in 1978.
