Front: The Uzbek snow leopard (Panthera uncia), an endangered species native to the mountainous regions of Central Asia including the Tian Shan and Pamir ranges of Uzbekistan. The snow leopard is depicted with a smiling anthropomorphic sun motif, combining traditional Islamic decorative patterns with Central Asian folk art themes. This design represents Uzbekistan's cultural heritage and natural biodiversity following independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. The denomination 200 so'm appears with ornamental borders typical of Uzbek architectural tilework and carpet designs.

Back: Hồ Chí Minh (1890–1969), Vietnamese communist revolutionary leader who served as President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) from 1945 until his death. He led the Việt Minh independence movement from 1941 onward, proclaimed Vietnam's independence from France in 1945, and is regarded as the founding father of modern Vietnam. The inscription 'CỘNG HÒA XÃ HỘI CHỦ NGHĨA VIỆT NAM' (Socialist Republic of Vietnam) appears at top, with denomination 1000 đồng and the text 'MỘT NGHÌN ĐỒNG' (one thousand dong). Dated 1988.

The story

Background & history

This is a mismatched pair of banknotes: the front belongs to a 200 so'm note from Uzbekistan (first series following independence, issued 1994–1997), while the back is from a Vietnamese 1000 đồng note dated 1988. The Uzbek first series was replaced in 1997 by a new currency due to hyperinflation. The Vietnamese note is from the đồng series issued following economic reforms. These are unrelated notes from different countries and cannot form a legitimate catalogue entry. No accurate Pick number, serial analysis, or unified historical context can be provided for this combination.
